Necessary skills and qualifications
5+ years of experience in schematic and PCB design, with a focus on power electronics applications
Deep knowledge of analog and digital electronics, specifically in power circuits and high-efficiency designs
Familiarity with PCB design rules, including high-power layout considerations
Experience with Altium Designer for schematic capture and PCB layout
Understanding of BMS electronics principles
Hands-on experience with simulation tools (e.g., LTspice, PLECS, or similar) to analyze and optimize circuits before implementation
Deep understanding of the board bring-up process, as well as identifying and troubleshooting hardware issues
Expertise in industry standards and regulations related to power electronics, safety, and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC)
Strong analytical mindset and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot power conversion efficiency issues, thermal challenges, and EMI concerns
At least an intermediate level of English proficiency
Will be a plus
Experience with temperature simulation tools for thermal analysis in power circuits
Previous experience with battery pack design or BMS design
Familiarity with relevant industry standards for battery safety and transportation (e.g., UN 38.3, IEC 62133, UL standards)
