TMT Consultants Ltd is a fintech publishing company dedicated to providing financial experts with data about company deals and market trends. TMT’s platform is at the core of its operations, as it enables data-driven decision-making while helping financial professionals stay updated with the latest industry trends.

The challenge
Having a vast database of intels, deals, and companies, our client decided to enhance their system usability for admins and end users. The TMT’s platform lacked flexible search and filter options, which was inconvenient for end users. The TMT team also struggled with data management. That’s why TMT decided to reach out to Lemberg Solutions and modernize their platform with our experts.

Solution
Focusing on the business requirements of our client and the needs of their platform end users, our team started with running a discovery phase. We outlined the project's scope, defined the most optimal team composition and structured product requirements, and defined acceptance criteria for the first sprints.
Our client’s platform is a comprehensive database focusing on three core directions — deals, companies, and intels (articles). Throughout the project, our team made every effort to ensure all the platform's directions worked smoothly together. We also paid attention to the platform’s usability for admin users to simplify the management of large data volumes.
The development process was well-structured and straightforward. We started by building black-and-white wireframes, proceeded with the design stage, and simultaneously started restructuring database and content management forms. Then, we moved on to front-end development. Before the release, we managed a large data migration to the new platform.
The functionality we built can be divided into two parts — features for platform admins and end users.
Check out the features we built for admin users of the TMT’s platform:
- Streamlined system for managing client's content— companies, deals, or intels. We’ve reorganized the content management process by categorizing fields in forms by specific criteria like region, area of activity, etc. This ensures faster input and greater accuracy of the data.
- A content moderation flow and a strict roles hierarchy.
- Analytics tracking user interaction with content, enabling data-driven platform management strategy.
Apart from modernizing the platform, our engineers also built and integrated an MS Teams App into the client’s platform. At its core, the app we built is another source of notifications about the latest publications. All you need to do is install the app, log in with platform credentials, and be the first to learn about the latest intels on the website.
Our team continues supporting the client with ongoing requests and will keep maintaining the system. We’ve also run the second round of content migration, which included improving the quality of platform content. Further iterations of the platform modernization will potentially cover mobile version development.
