Electronic nurse device development for smarter patient care
About the client
TCC, founded by medicine professionals, provides state-of-the-art telemedicine solutions for remote intensive care units (ICU) to improve healthcare quality and reduce the load on intensive care specialists. TCC is developing fastly and recently successfully raised €20 million in Series A funding.

The challenge
After taking a closer look at the German healthcare system, TCC realized that there’s a strong need for automation of patient monitoring. Inpatient care puts an enormous load on medical workers, increasing the risk of missing critical changes in a patient's condition and failing to provide timely care.
To solve this problem, TCC decided to test their idea of a patient-tracking solution and set for us the following objective – to build a fully functional MVP within three-month deadline to ensure they had enough time to test the product before demonstrating it to stakeholders.

Solution
We started by building an IoT prototype of the eNurse device based on the industrial design devised by our experts. The corpus of the tablet was created by a high-performance polymer 3D printer. It is equipped with protective padding and sealing for extra reliability and long-term performance. The prototype has integrated third-party apps for measuring patients’ vital signs, including temperature, blood pressure, heart rate, oxygen level, and respiratory rate.
The solution was developed according to accessibility standards. Our UI/UX designers make sure that the main screen components of the device are easy to use and intuitive for older individuals. Also, device has voice control integrated by using Windows Speech Recognition.
The latest version of the device also includes a temperature measurement simulation and a camera for face recognition, which will be replaced with an infrared one in the following iterations.
The journey with Lemberg Solutions, from product discovery to the real MVP, was very professional and fell within the specified timeline. The TCC team very much enjoyed working together with Lemberg Solutions as they had additional ideas to increase the performance and value of our MVP, and product management was outstanding. TCC is very proud of the final product.
