SAP ABAP Engineer

Project description

The client is a 130-year-old business and an e-commerce pioneer in Germany. The company produces and sells collectibles (ancient and modern coins, etc.) and various goods made of gold and silver.

As part of this project, you will have to develop the existing e-commerce landscape that supports a complete sales cycle from making orders to delivering them. The e-commerce part is implemented on Magento, and back-office E2E processes are built on a custom add-on for SAP ERP 6.0. The aim of the project is to prepare the current SAP ERP 6.0 implementation for transformation to the SAP S/4HANA version.

Necessary skills and qualifications
3+ years of experience as a SAP ABAP engineer
Experience with ABAP Objects
Practical skills with SAP ABAP Open SQL
Good experience working with SAP ERP 6.0
Skills working with SAP ABAP User Exits
Experience with SAP ABAP Smart Forms
Experience of SAP ABAP Web Dynpro
Experience with SAP Gateway and OData
Practical skills with SAP ERP MM, SD, or any SAP module
Strong knowledge of the OOP principles
Upper-intermediate English
Will be a plus
Experience working with SAP Supply Chain Management
Practical skills with SAP S/4 HANA Cloud
Experience with SAP Fiori
Knowledge of SAP ABAP Native SQL
Responsibilities
Developing and improving the current add-on to be ready for the migration to SAP S/4HANA
Building a new landscape and dataflows for the current SAP and Magento implementations
Bringing back the current SAP implementation back to standards
Being part of the team that will be preparing the current version of SAP ERP to be ready for migration to S/4HANA; active support and improvements are expected on the current system
Working in close collaboration with the customer’s SAP ABAP engineering team
